1. Setup Sidequest for PC/Mac

You could find all the latest version of SideQuest hereIncludes versions that support Windows 8 or above for PC, Linux, and MacOS. Once installed, you can launch it and search all the apps. Of course, you need to prepare before sidequest can correctly identify your head display.

2. Become a developer

Quest supports the developer model. You only need to complete certain operations to get official approval. Please go to dashboard.oculus.com , log in to your oculus account and create an organization. You can tpye in a random name (if you are not really a developer) and agree to the terms of service.

Note: if you are a Windows user, you need additional driver software before continuing. Mac and Linux users can skip to step 4.

If you are a windows user, plz download thisOculus ADB Driver。Just unzip the zip folder and right-click Android_ winusb.inf File, click Install.

3. Select developer mode and restart

As a quest user, you should already have the oculus app installed on your mobile device. Open the app, go to the Settings tab at the bottom right, click and expand options, and then select more Settings ". You can see "developer mode" in the options. All you have to do is select and restart quest.

4. Connect quest to PC through USB cable and allow USB debugging

Now, please use USB type-C cable to connect quest just restarted to PC. If your PC includes a type-C port, you can use the charging cable provided in the box.

Now put on your head display, and you should be able to see "allow USB debugging?" Window. Just click the check box "always allow form this" Computer .

The SideQuest team points out that disabling the unlock pattern is also important. You can go back to the oculus mobile app and do it via settingss >Quest>More Settings >Unlock Pattern unlock pattern. This option is next to the developer mode option.

5.Setup VSVR

The task has been completed. Now you can open the sidequest app on your PC. Please keep accessing Quest (the upper left corner of the application is shown as green dot). You can search for vsvr in sidequest to find vsvr installation, or download it from this page quest.apk Install the package manually.

After that, you can disconnect quest from your PC and go to "unknown sources" in quest to find all the new apps you just selected for quest.
